Speaker: Jean-Claude Simon

Jean-Claude Simon is both a researcher and an activist with a background in History and industrial organisation (industrial and commercial processes). He has been involved with the Transform Europe ‘Energy Working Group’ since 2014 and is one of the three editors of the Transform e-book ‘A New Energy to Change Europe’ released in 2016.
In 2017 he developed on behalf of the GUE-NGL several notes on energy poverty and participated in several conferences on a socially just energy transition. He is now involved in research on the implications of the ecological transformation for the relocation of industry to Europe and on policies needed to achieved a balanced territorial development based on people’s needs.
He lives near Copenhagen in Denmark.
